Annual Certificate Programme

This programme encourages the student to express using their voice and body, channel their creativity and imagination, structure their thoughts, address an audience, and work in an ensemble. The programme also focuses on communication and presentation skills, analysis of text, improvisation, characterisation. The student will have opportunities to perform in front of an audience and on stage. As a part of the programme, the student will be trained and enrolled to take solo Trinity College London Examination.

The students get grouped as per their age to ensure age-appropriate layer-on-layer development and implementation of performance skills. Performing art skills (speech and drama) are learnt and developed over time; we allow the student to take their time to grow and also encourage all the ways to express themselves. Programme Structure:

This is a year-long programme and will have about 40 sessions - each session of 60 minutes per week
The programme is designed to achieve predetermined objectives and milestones which will get covered over the year
There is no prerequisite to join the programme - the learner will be grouped with their aged learners
Certification from Trinity College London on successful completion of the examination
Certification from J’s Academy on successful completion of the programme
Students are grouped age-wise to ensure age-appropriate learning. Each batch has up to 15 students led by 1 expert facilitator.

Programme Calendar - January to December:

Our milestones are mandatory as a part of the learning journey for the student. Our holiday and events calendar is set in advance and will not change but for unavoidable circumstances or emergencies - please go through the calendar before committing to the programme.

We have multiple intake points for new students to join the ongoing programmes, please check with the enrolment team by filling up the registration form or write to us with your query.

No make up turns, if the student misses a session. Programme calendar is shared to help plan your other commitments.
We will not be able to reschedule milestone events and exams - please refer to the calendar in advance.
No refunds.
Parents or guardians are not allowed to sit in class / observe.
For this level, in case the student does not settle in the classroom after a couple of sessions, we may recommend the student to join us later when they are more comfortable and prepared for group classes. Fees, if paid, will be refunded in this case.
Student cannot change their batch in the middle of the programme / attend a session in another batch in case of absence - as every cohort has a unique dynamic that is to be maintained.
There is no parking, or waiting area at the centres. Please arrange for a guardian to drop and pick up the student from the centre, we will not be able to drop / walk the student outside the centre.

At what age can I enrol my child? Are there any prerequisites?
Our youngest students are in upper / higher kindergarten or are 5 years of age, and our oldest students are in twelfth grade in school. Students are grouped with peers of their age and level of development.

How long is the programme?
The annual programme is a year long programme with breaks for summer / winter and other government holidays. The classes are held once a week for one hour —same time every week. You will receive a calendar at the time of enrolment to help plan your schedule.

Can I join the programme after the start date?
Yes, we have multiple entry points for new students to join the programme such that the student is at par with their peers in terms of learning for that module / learning objective.

What if the student misses a session?
We do not offer make up turns. The onus of missed learning is on the student. Their facilitator will assist them to help catch up. We also do not allow students to change batches mid programme or attend sessions in another class as every cohort has a different dynamic and learning curve.

What happens after completion of the programme / one year?
After completion of the progamme, the student will progress to the next level. There are 12 levels of the programme based on the age group.

What is the fee for this programme?
Please reach out to our enrolment team for fee details, as they differ based on levels. Our programme fee does not include the cost for Trinity examination and certiﬁcation - which we will share separately. No refunds once enrolled.

What is the schedule for this programme?
Please reach out to our enrolment team for the schedule, as this differs for various levels and locations, as well as open seats in that programme.

Can the parent / guardian sit in the classroom?
We do not permit parents / guardians to sit in the classroom or observe from outside the classroom, as this is a safe space for children to explore and work with the teacher and their peers. You may reach out to the faculty for any concerns throughout the year.
